Yes, this Is a share function, If it looks different than boosted post on Mastodon take in account this also goes to Diaspora and possibly other networks.
If Hubzilla does not do perfekt finetuning od the message format for some case, Mastodon does not support other networks at all :-) Haha that Is a Feature!

@michal @hypolite it doesn’t notify the person who you shared it from which is the part that is most frustrating. The duplication doesn’t bother be that much, actually I wish sometimes mastodon was able to duplicate posts because then I could keep a copy when instances go down

Thanks Liazon for explaining. There is a lot of features on Hubzilla addon for ActivityPub that could be implemented. Personally I would like better rendering of Mobilizon and Peertube messages. And of course direct messages working between networks. It is nice you recognize there are other protocols than AP. I suppose it is in implementing Announce activity - I would like to see it on Friendica how is it done. Because share is different, you can write something above shared post for example. Just boost would be inconsistent with other messages from networks not supporting boosts. In the end, that is a work of some developer, which can contribute to AP addon and the developers are welcome. Hubzilla has a lot to offer, like making a copy of your posts is easy, you can make your channel as channel source for hubzilla channel and have Zot or Diaspora contacts there. And you can have another clone if that instance goes down, so you have synced backups and you can spin a really resilient network.

Is there any way Channel Admins can comment on Channel private messages to somebody with their personal identity?

Something like instant privacy group which include that person and all channel admins?

The admin cannot see private messages, unless they are connected to the respective channel and are granted access.
