This is a completely uncut video approximately 1 and a half hours in length, covering the protest from start to finish; I watched the whole lot.
The crowd was largely peaceful and made many attempts to avoid confrontation with the police. The police on the other hand tried more than once to start trouble, even with children in the crowd. The crowd was a mixture of all ages and walks of life, united. The vibe was positive, with music playing; It seemed that walking helped many who were frustrated to redirect that energy which may have otherwise been vented in a more negative way, like lashing out.
Towards the end, the crowd numbers were lower due to being separated during the march (the police would run ahead to form a blockade and the crowd would turn down a side street to avoid confrontation. This happened on more than one occasion, and at one point, the crowd became 2 separate marches as a result). It is at this point at the end of the video that the police made a number of arrests, including of 2 young people claiming to be 15 & 16 years old.
The typical mainstream headlines making it sound like a violent clash or a riot are unjustified.
