Currently listening to the latest @linuxmatters where @wimpy teases his "Nixos for human beings". It sounds intriguing and you had me until you mentioned the #pantheon desktop 😝, nevertheless the overall idea sounds great. I look forward to further developments 😎

Do you know @SnowflakeOS ?
#snowflakeos is based on #nixos and also has the goal to be an easy to use Linux distro. It has a graphical configuration and package manager.
I would love it, if your distro or snowflake had a really easy encrypted ZFS install.
As I have different user accounts for different usages, e.g. development and banking I would like to have each users home encrypted with ZFS by PAM.
You could automate it for friends and family to make automated backups to your server.

@linus snowflake does sound interesting. I'll give it a go in a VM. I'll wait till it leaves it's "alpha" stage before I'd risk it on anything but a VM :)

I only booted it up from my USB stick and it looks good, but Currently im in a nixos unstable ISO because the snowflake ISO is a few month old.
I think you could add the flake sources to your nixos to get the graphical configuration and package managers.
