That greenhouse that "we" (meaning mostly my daughter) assembled several months back? Yeah, it seems to serve its purpose - which was to be able to reliably produce food by taking climate and weather out of the equation. At this point the only short-comings are
- really hot days - we do need a removable sun shade and some more venting. The automatic vents work up to about 35C, but above that things start to shrivel really quickly. There's a big ass fan on the right that you can't see, which we turn on when the interior gets above 35C. No, just a regular big ass fan - not a Big Ass Fan®
- bugs. We sort of need the bees, but so far the aphids have resisted everything we've thrown at them. Next year I might unleash a box of ladybirds - which I think you can buy at Bunnings. White oil and soapy water are pretty benign but the aphids just laugh at those, and I really don't want to pull out any industrial strength chemicals. They mostly have only affected the peppers and tomatillos, but the damage they've done is pretty dramatic.
