Wikipedia has been captured by the security state from years ago. It has not been a credible source of information for years, and really never was. It's mostly a propaganda tool now. It's not accepted in the academic world for citations.
If you cite Wikipedia in an academic paper you will fail. It's considered an authority by some, so of course the security state has used it for their purposes.
I only use it for meta data for albums, artists, titles etc. It's good for that, and to start a search, but not as the source of information.
