During the Cold War, attempts were made in the Communist East to bury messages that were considered hostile and broadcast by radio stations beyond the Iron Curtain.
The radio jammers developed their own sound aesthetic, and the artists Dani Gal and Ghazi Barakat focused on it to create their work "Altered State Solution".
